Today, April 19 2020, our Children’s Campaign goes LIVE.  Not with a launch, balloons and big speeches.  But QUIETLY.  As we all sit at home.  Waiting for the Covid-19 lockdown to end.  Time to reflect.  Time to remember the past.  Time to contemplate the future.  A future that is free of toxic pesticides.  Where our children can go out safely.  Safe from the virus.  Safe from pesticides.  We can make it happen  We need to make it happen  We cannot continue to poison their future.

THIS IS AN ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND HUMAN RIGHTS EMERGENCY AND WE NEED TO GET TOXIC PESTICIDES OUT OF OUR CHILDREN’S LIVES

The U.S Right to Know  (USRTK) website details the stunning $2 billion verdict issued against Monsanto May 13 2019. They note that in the latest case married couple Alva and Alberta Pilliod, who both suffer from non-Hodgkin lymphoma were awarded $55 million in compensatory damages and $1 billion each in punitive damages.  “The jury found that Monsanto has spent years covering up evidence that its herbicide causes cancer.” Millions of pages of documents and internal Monsanto papers are posted to the USRTK website and you can follow their Roundup Trial Tracker with all the trial updates. (25.5.2019)

We will post any relevant New Zealand updates on our Glyphosate page.  But see the Latest News for a call by a Public Health Professor for national restrictions in NZ on glyphosate use in the wake of the US case.  Professor Potter told Duncan Garner that NZ needs to “begin to think seriously about whether it should be banned for domestic use, which is probably a good step” and that councils should reconsider their use for verges and greens.  (posted 13.8.2018)

WE PUBLISH A HISTORY OF CHEMICAL HERBICIDE USE IN AUCKLAND TODAY, 27 July 2017 . . .

A shocking history that many, many people know nothing about.

A history that lays bare the motives, actions and inactions of successive cities and councils and their so-called Council Controlled Organisations like Auckland Transport.

But also a history that is rich in endeavour, and persistence, and pure grit and determination by many thousands of people to ensure that we do the right thing and protect ourselves and our children and our grandchildren from unnecessary and harmful chemicals.

Truly, a narrative of the good, the bad and the ugly in one volume.  READ MORE
